The Knit Edit: Donna Karan
A decent knit is very difficult to find...so I've made it super easy and put together The Knit Edit.
My second knit edit is all about the Donna Karan cashmere sweater. I found it at Helen Swift Designer Consignments store in Perth and as soon as I put it on it just melted to my body, I had to have it.
People say I'm lucky with the pieces I find but my discoveries don't have anything to do with luck. When shopping in second hand designer stores, I recommend taking the time to look. Also go with the right frame of mind. If you are after something in particular, don't settle for anything other than that because you won't be completely satisfied.
As I said in my previous post, look for quality pieces. This point is especially important when looking through second hand designer garments. When I found this Donna Karan sweater, in almost perfect condition, I knew it would be a worthy investment and last for seasons to come.
Because it's not everyday that you come across a Donna Karan sweater, here are some other knit brands I'm loving:
I love Mr Mittens
Every piece from ILMM is made to order and hand knitted. Their cropped cable knit is to-die-for!
Banjo and Matilda
Definitely a luxury, but Banjo and Matilda's pieces would be perfect all the way through the year. Loving this Plait Cable Sweater.
Vince
Known for classic, well-made staples Vince's sweaters and cashmere pieces are a worthy investment. Their Graphic Texture-Blocked Cardigan is gorgeous.
