Shirts are having their fashion moment. They are the new LBD (little black dress) and have become the statement piece to base your outfit around.
It's not only simple shirts that are trending. The reinvented shirt now comes oversized, with bell sleeves or embellishments. They're embroidered, detailed with frills or come in shoulder baring silhouettes. The best thing? You can wear them with everything, from jeans and skirts to heels and sneakers, you name it.
I discovered the brand Uh La La Land while I was writing this Etsy Xmas post. Based in Porto, Portugal, designer Adriana Maran creates beautiful modern and minimalistic pieces. Majority of her designs are made-to-order including shirts. I usually pass on trend pieces such as the off-the shoulder top, but the Mali and Eva shirts were too fun to ignore. Plus at the affordable price of around $50AUD per piece, it was a no-brainer. With the bespoke fit and good quality cotton poplin, these shirts are lovely and attract compliments wherever they go.
Uh La La Land's now branching into embroidered t-shirts which are super cute. They're next on my list!
