Staple Style Challenge
I was lucky enough to be chosen to participate in Staple the Label's Staple Style Challenge, with thanks to sponsors Minimalist Style, Naked Vice & QT Gold Coast.
For the Staple Style Challenge, bloggers had to put together a sleek trans-seasonal look, inspired by Staple the Label's current season.
When I think of trans-seasonal styling, I think chunky knits, layering and ankle boots. However, Perth's trans-seasonal weather is a little different. The sun is still well and truly shining in Perth. And although the mornings are becoming fresher, by midday the layers come off and skin is bared again.
To match Perth weather, I chose the 'Daybreak' maxi dress for my look. This printed maxi dress is something different for me but I was up for the challenge. On the west coast we hang on to summer not wanting it to leave us, and this maxi is the perfect nod to the summer not yet passed. I styled it with a biker jacket from Zara and my Laurence Dacade studded boots. I wanted complementing pieces that would break up the 'prettiness' of the dress and also add some coverage when the sun goes down at the end of the day.
Thanks again to Staple the Label's #StapleStyleChallenge, with thanks to sponsors Minimalist Style, Naked Vice & QT Gold Coast. This post was a lot of fun to style and shoot.
Wish me luck!

One thing I told to myself when falling pregnant was that I didn’t want to change my style just because of my growing bump. Instead I set-out to embrace my changing shape and I ended up loving the challenge of “shopping my own wardrobe” to see if and how my existing pieces would fit.
