I picked up this Jessie Hill swing coat years ago in Melbourne and although time has passed, it still has a place in my closet. Worn here with my T by Alexander Wang skirt and Rag & Bone Newbury pony hair boots, the coats adds a playful touch.

Originating from India in the 1890's, jodhpurs were initially designed for polo players, for ease of movement. In 1897, Queen Victoria, the Monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and Empress of India, celebrated her Diamond Jubilee. For the celebrations, the Regent of Jodhpur, Sir Pratap Singh, travelled to England and took with him the Jodhpur Polo team.
