This month I am off travelling. My last adventure was moving from New York City to Perth two years ago, so I cannot wait for this one! I am going to Istanbul, Morocco and Berlin for the first time, and back to Paris after six long years. I am beyond excited!

For some of these cities, it's the way the light hits the side of an old stone building in the city square, or how the locals laugh and carry on in a language that is foreign to me but I somehow understand every word they are saying. Or when you get that feeling that you have visited a place before, but you never actually have.

Her dreamy use of the black pen and splash of watercolour is perfect. I now own two pieces from Mekel. A framed original of J.Mendel lime green couture gown from this exhibition which was a lovely belated birthday gift from Mr CK and a limited edition print from Mekel's Perth Fashion Festival exhibition last year.
